What is the use of a Bronzer?
When we talk about our favorite makeup looks, a natural sun-kissed look easily tops the list. Who doesn’t love a warmed up, glowing face without even overexposing yourself to UV radiation from the sun? This is where bronzers come in; delightful products that can give you beach goddess skin. But with so many different types and finishes, which one should you choose?
First let’s talk about the different types of bronzers. Powder bronzer is the most classic and popular type of bronzer. It works great for all skin types, particularly though for oily skin. There are many options for this type of bronzer including Bronzer by Alima Pure and the Buriti Bronzer by RMS Beauty. It is best applied with an angled bronzer brush like the Bronzer Brush by Au Naturale.
Cream bronzers can be used for a heavier coverage with a more subtle glow and while it works on all skin types, it is best suited for dry skin. The Luminous Crème Bronzer Stick by Au Naturale and the Bronzing Stick by Vapour Beauty are both cream bronzers. These can be applied with your fingers or a brush like the Bronzer Brush by Lily Lolo.
Liquid bronzers are similar to cream bronzers but have a thinner consistency. It gives a natural look because it tends to just melt into your skin and is great for textured skin (acne, breakouts, scarring etc.). Next, let’s take a look at the finishes available in different bronzers. Matte bronzers don’t have any shimmer or shine and are best used for contouring – to add depth and definition to your face on top of warmth. It gives you a defined and chiseled look.
