How to correctly use face oils
The careful extracting of oils from plant material goes as far back as humanity. They not only replenish or support the lipid layer where it’s needed, but contain and myriad of vitamins, omega fatty acids, anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Oils are concentrated, long-lasting, and effective moisturizers that sink in deeply to give skin a radiant glow.
How to apply face oils
Face oils are fairly easy to use. First you need to cleanse and tone your skin. Once you have done that, it is now time to apply your oil. There are two different ways you can apply the oil.
- Mix your oil into your day or night cream. This will reduce the amount of steps you need to take in your skincare routine. The oil will take a bit longer to absorb into your skin but you will still get its benefits.
- Place the oil into your hands. Gently massage the oil onto your facial and neck area. Leave the oil on the skin for a few minutes to absorb before you place your moisturizer onto your skin or use it on its own.
Keep in mind that on the days you use a mask or exfoliator, the oil and moisturizer will still need to be done at the end of your routine.
